Techno on the Block is a newcomer label that was founded in 2023. The label's leap comes from a long time ago! We count the year 2022 when Ben Littmann & Luca Littmann went out with their friends, a small JBL Xtreme music box, and went drinking in the mountains. The words got around more and more, and they realized that the small Bluetooth box was not enough anymore. 

So they made a big investment and bought a Gen. 3 soundbox. From that point on, they started having big parties in the mountains of Weil am Rhein. But without any lighting equipment, or even a DJ. Everything with just a phone and the music box. There were more People than ever, sometimes up to 200 people, and of course the friends in blue [Police]. 

Many nights passed, it was just perfect, everyone brought their own alcohol, you really knew everyone and made new friends for life. 

Ben and Luca wanted to do even more and grow bigger. That's why the two of them created a WhatsApp group and Instagram account. The whole thing was given a Name for the first time: "On the Hills", a reference to the fact that they are always out and about in the mountains. In a very short time, they reached a lot of people, not only friends of friends, also people from other towns, which was to become a problem for Ben & Luca.   

It all started when one of the batteries was stolen from the soundbox. Everyone was having fun and everything was fine, but unfortunately people like that had to come and steal things. Then it continued with bags and valuables being stolen, and you have to worry about the soundbox all the time so it doesn't get stolen. In the end, it was so bad that they had to lock the music box with bicycle locks, and there were so many people who wanted to steal the music box that they had to call the police. 

A change was needed! They decided to change the genre to Hard Techno to keep the thieves away, which worked really well. So the first Tunnel Rave was organized in Haltingen. They met at Rewe [Supermarket] and then walked together to the location. 

Again, there was no lighting equipment and no DJ. 

Something had to change. 

So the two of them founded the label "Techno on the Block" together with their big sister Alina Littmann. The first event took place on November 3rd, 2023, in their Heimat Basel and was a complete success! A new era began for Ben & Luca Littmann.
